Clermont will look to bounce back from their Heineken Cup disappointment when they face La Rochelle in the Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final.
Having failed to reach the last eight of the main competition, Clermont have been handed a European lifeline of the tournament they won in 1999 and 2007.
Aurélien Rougerie returns from suspension to fill the void left by Napolioni Nalaga, while Morgan Parra is rested.
"We will approach this game with the same mindset that we took into the victory over Biarritz," said Clermont coach Vern Cotter.
"We will try to raise our game once again because we are aware that every match is a play-off game from now on."
La Rochelle maybe struggling at the wrong end of the Top 14 table, however they did beat Clermont 22-14 earlier in the season.
