Cardiff Blues climbed into third place in the RaboDirect PRO12 table with a crushing 38-0 victory over rock-bottom Aironi.
Dan Parks kicked two early penalties to give the hosts the advantage, but with their current Wales internationals missing they lacked penetration and only had two more penalties from their fly-half to reflect on at the half-time break.
Things picked up after the interval, though as Aironi had Sinoti Sinoti sin-binned and Cardiff took immediate advantage with Casey Laulala going over in the corner for an unconverted try.
Naas Olivier then missed two kickable penalties as the visitors failed to get on the scoreboard and Blues punished, them as Dafydd Hewitt powered through a static defence to score their second try which Parks converted.
Tom James then raced over quickly followed by replacement hooker Mark Breeze, with Parks converting the first and replacement Ceri Sweeney the second.
A series of late penalties in the Blues 22 gave Aironi hope of scoring their first try in five league matches, but solid home defence denied them even that small consolation.
