Biarritz got their Heineken Cup campaign back on track, gaining revenge over Aironi in the process, with a 34-3 win at Parc des Sports Aguilera.
The French side were sensationally beaten 28-27 in the reverse fixture last weekend, but still kept hold of top spot in Pool Four.
They made sure lightning didn't strike twice though by thumping their Italian opponents, getting two tries in each half to pick up a bonus point.
Any chance of a second upset result disappeared once Dimitri Yachvili followed up an early penalty by converting centre Marcelo Bosch's try, as the hosts went along at a point-a-minute.
Penalty try
The scrum-half added a further three points before then slotting over the extras after English referee Alan Biggs had awarded a penalty try underneath the posts.
With the game already over as a contest by the break, the hosts went in search of what could be a crucial bonus in the second half.
They were given an early boost when hot-heeled American winger Takudzwa Ngwenya touched down just five minutes after play had resumed.
They didn't have to wait long for the fourth try to come either; hooker Benoit August getting it just before the hour mark. Yachvili added both conversions to finish with a personal haul of 14 points.
Biarritz, who now sit seven points clear of Ulster, had such a comfortable cushion that they were able to take their foot off the gas for the final quarter.
All Aironi could muster in reply was a 62nd minute penalty from fly-half Richard Bocchino. They remain stuck at the bottom of the group with just the solitary win from four outings.
