Ulster maintained their 100 percent start to the new RaboDirect Pro12 season with a 25-19 win over Aironi.
Ian Whitten, Dan Tuohy and Craig Gilroy crossed for the White Knights at Stadio Luigi Zaffanella, while Ian Humphreys added two penalties and two conversions.
New Zealander Nick Williams scored the only try for the Italians, while out-half Naas Olivier kicked 14 points in a losing cause.
Ulster's victory was far from straight-forward despite surging into a 12-3 lead early on. Aironi at one stage though fought back to lead 13-12.
However they could not hold out to half time, as a long rage Humphreys penalty made it 15-13 at the interval.
Gilroy's second-half try was enough to give Ulster breathing space and the conversion, plus a penalty, took Humphreys personal haul to 10 points.
