Max Evans scored a try on his return to action to help Glasgow defeat Connacht 34-20 at Firhill.
The centre crossed after only two minutes to help the hosts run out comfortable winners against their Irish opponents.
Thom Evans, who set up his sibling, bagged a brace of tries himself, while Dan Parks kicked three penalties and two conversions.
Connacht stayed in the hunt thanks to the boot of Ian Keatley but didn't manage to score a try until seven minutes from the end.
Fionn Carr's effort came just too late to save his team, who paid the price for a slow start on their travels despite a determined display.
After Thom Evans' clever chip, Max Evans broke the deadlock by accepting a pass from Dan Parks, who also landed the conversion from out wide.
Sizeable gap
Keatley landed a drop goal and a penalty to get Connacht going but Parks' opening penalty of the contest put Glasgow into double figures.
A try from John Beattie helped the home side open up a sizeable gap before Thom Evans grabbed his first of the night with a sizzling run that saw him burst through the tackle of Gavin Duffy
With Parks converting both the Scottish side were 18 points up, though that gap was narrowed to 12 by half time by a pair of penalties from Keatley.
The two kickers added three points to their tallies at the start of a second half that failed to live up to fast-paced action seen in the first 40 minutes.
Some strong Connacht tackling kept their line from being breached again and they sensed a chance of registering an away triumph when Frank Murphy's interception set up Carr for a breakaway effort.
However Keatley's kick sailed wide and Glasgow made sure of victory soon after when Thom Evans grabbed his second, getting on the end of Mark McMillan's kick.
