Edinburgh ended Glasgow's four-game winning streak with a 28-17 victory over their Scottish rivals at Murrayfield.
Netani Talei, Tim Visser and James Thompson all crossed for tries while the rest of the home side's points came from the boot of David Blair.
Glasgow, who had won the reverse fixture last week, only managed one try in response, albeit a memorable effort from Robert Harley.
Ruaridh Jackson and Colin Gregor kicked two penalties each, though the former missed a conversion and two penalties in the opening half.
Early dominance
It was the visitors who made the better start, with fly-half Jackson rewarding their early dominance with two early penalties.
However, Edinburgh responded with two stunning tries that propelled them into a 12-6 lead by the midway point of the first 40 period.
The first came when Visser drifted in from his wing position to carve up centre field before sending number eight Talei scampering in underneath the bar.
Their roles were reversed just seven minutes later; Talei attacked off a scrum in his own half to start a fine move that was finished off by Visser, who had never previously scored against Glasgow.
Blair managed to land one of his two conversion attempts but Glasgow cut the deficit to just a single point when flanker Harley was in the right place to round off some fine work done by team-mates Richie Vernon and Max Evans.
They would have gone ahead had Jackson not fluffed the straightforward conversion, while he also failed to knock over two penalties.
Standard dropped
His opposite number Blair showed him how it should be done shortly after the half-hour mark with a penalty that put Edinburgh 15-11 ahead at the break.
The second half failed to live up to the standard of the first, with Glasgow repeatedly penalised by referee Neil Paterson.
Blair made them pay with two penalties to open the gap to 21-11.
Glasgow found another gear in the closing stages, though, with the pressure rewarded with a pair of penalties from scrum-half Gregor.
Yet their hopes of snatching a late victory disappeared when Thompson clinched the game for Edinburgh with a breakaway score in stoppage time.
