Their national side may have been humbled at Twickenham, but Treviso continue to fly the flag for Italy in the Magners League.
Treviso maintained their impressive home form to hold off a late fightback and add leaders Munster to their list of scalps at Stadio Comunale di Monigo.
The Italian side had already beaten Scarlets, Connacht and Newport Gwent Dragons on home soil, and they held a 6-3 half-time lead as South African fly-half Willem De Waal kicked two penalties to one from Paul Warwick for the visitors.
De Waal quickly added another penalty on the resumption before converting flanker Gonzalo Padro's try, scored while Munster had Damien Varley and Wian du Preez in the sin bin, to put the Italian side firmly in command at 16-3.
But Munster came roaring back, as Warwick kicked his second penalty and captain Doug Howlett went over.
However, De Waal added his fourth penalty and James Coughlan's late try was just a consolation for the visitors.
