Loan signing outshines Huddersfield new boys
Expensive new signings Antony Pilkington and Lionel Ainsworth failed to fire for Huddersfield as Shaun MacDonald fired Yeovil to a 1-0 win.
On-loan Swansea midfielder MacDonald stole the limelight as his goal in first-half stoppage time earned the Glovers all three points.
The decisive goal came after the Terriers failed to clear a right-wing corner and Danny Schofield, playing against his former club, teed the ball up for MacDonald who hammered home from 10 yards.
Yeovil had the better chances to increase their lead in the second half - the best falling to Andy Welsh on 70 minutes.
Welsh was well-placed at the far post to meet an incisive cross from Paul Warne, and his point-blank header brought an unbelievable save from Alex Smithies.
