Wednesday miss chance to move clear of rivals
A second-half equaliser gave Sheffield Wednesday a much-needed point in their relegation scrap against Scunthorpe at Glanford Park.
But both sides will feel disappointed not to have taken three points in what was billed as a must-win game.
A spectacular goal from Ian Morris after 18 minutes gave Scunthorpe the lead, but a fortunate effort from Ben Sahar four minutes after half-time allowed Brian Laws' team to claim a point.
Both sides then had chances to win it, with Scunthorpe's Grant McCann going closest as his free-kick struck the crossbar, but the match finished 1-1.
Scunthorpe are now seven points off safety having played more games than their relegation rivals, while Wednesday are now one point clear of Southampton and Barnsley.
