Bees' winless run continues
Port Vale and Barnet battled to a drab goalless draw which saw neither goalkeeper seriously tested in the entire 90 minutes.
The first-half was a dismal affair with the only efforts of note coming in the last five minutes.
Barnet striker John O'Flynn shot inches over the top of Joe Anyon's goal after latching onto a mistake by Anthony Griffiths, while Vale also went close when Rob Beckwith dived bravely at the feet of Marc Richards after Simon Richman finally cut a hole in the visitors' rearguard.
Barnet looked the livelier side at the start of the second period before Vale finally began to up the ante in the closing stages.
Vale defender Lee Collins came closest to breaking the deadlock when he headed Scott Brown's free-kick just over.
Barnet, now without a win in nine league and cup games, will be the happier side after recording their first goalless draw in 25 matches.
