Barker relishing Blades trip

Image: Richie Barker: Targeting three points

Crawley boss Richie Barker insists a trip to Sheffield United is still a big occasion despite their lowly position.

The Blades are floundering at the foot of League One while Town head to Bramall Lane flying high in eighth on the back of a five-game unbeaten run. But Sheffield-born Barker, who began his playing career at city rivals Wednesday, says his side are still preparing for one of their biggest tests of the season. "It will be one of the biggest crowds we'll play in front of this season, certainly one of the best stadiums, and it's a fantastic club," he said. "But it's an opportunity for my players to go and test themselves against one of the biggest clubs in this division because they have earned the right to do that. "I'm sure at some point someone will say we are going there as favourites."
