Toulouse up to second, while Sochaux and Valenciennes win at bottom

Toulouse jumped up to second in Ligue 1 after coming from behind to earn a draw at Auxerre. Ireneusz Jelen put the home side in front in the 25th minute, before Bryan Bergougnoux came off the bench to equalise with nine minutes to go. The point sees Toulouse jump from fourth to second on goal difference - six points behind leaders Lyon, having played a game more - while Auxerre remain in tenth. Le Mans rose to 11th - a point behind - thanks to a 2-0 home victory over bottom side Le Havre. Their win came via goals from two of their substitutes - Modibo Maiga opened the scoring on 63 minutes before Gervinho got the second 13 minutes later. Two goals within five first-half minutes saw Valenciennes beat Lille 2-0 and move two points clear of the drop zone into 16th. Gael Danic opened the scoring in the 30th minute before Jean-Claude Darcheville then doubled the advantage. Sochaux rose to third-from-bottom, and are now only in the drop zone on goal difference, after a crucial home win over eighth-placed Nice. Vaclav Sverkos got the all important winner on 67 minutes, with the victory seeing his side leapfrog St Etienne in the table. Nantes and Grenoble are both three points above the drop-zone after their 1-1 draw in Ligue 1's other Saturday game. Ivan Klasnic scored for Nantes in the 38th minutes before Sandy Paillot got a last-gasp equaliser to earn the visitors a share of the spoils.
