Ligue 1 round-up

Champions move four points clear of PSG

Lyon's bid for an eighth consecutive title shows no sign of slowing as they tightened their grip on the Ligue 1 summit with a 3-1 win over Le Havre. Bottom of the table Le Havre arrived at Stade de Gerland more in hope than expectation and it came as little surprise when after a sluggish start Lyon forged ahead through Ederson in the 34th minute. Le Havre's morale was eroded before half-time when Abdulkader Keita grabbed Lyon's second with a smart finish. John Mensah blotted Lyon's copy book when he was dismissed 20 minutes from time but there was still time for Brazilian playmaker Juninho to underline the champions' superiority with a third. Loic Nestor's late goal proved to be nothing more than a consolation for Le Havre. Marseille moved up to third with an impressive away win at Monaco. Bakari Kone was the toast of the Marseille faithful as he came off the substitutes' bench in the Principality to fire a 77th minute winner. Fourth placed Toulouse continue to impress as they beat lowly Sochaux 2-1. A Rabiu Afolabi strike gave Sochaux a surprise lead in the 12th minute but Toulouse rallied and fought back to claim the spoils, courtesy of Jacques Faty's own goal before half-time and Andre-Pierre Gignac's 15th of the season after the break.
