Veteran keeper Lee expects win over Nigeria

Veteran South Korea keeper Lee Woon-jae is confident that his country can reach the knockout stages of the World Cup for only the second time in their history. South Korea face Nigeria in Durban on Tuesday in a match where there is a lot at stake for both teams. The Super Eagles, beaten by both Argentina and Greece, can still qualify provided that Argentina beat Greece in their final Group B match. However, a victory would guarantee South Korea - who beat Greece 2-0 but lost to Argentina 4-1 - a place in the last 16. "A more important match than the previous two games awaits us," said Woon-jae, 37, who is making his fourth World Cup finals appearance but has not played in the two opening Group B outings. "The players are going through much preparation and we expect good results from the match. "The best result we can gain is a victory. Such a result can only be achieved with the attitude and longing for a victory." In 2002 South Korea were beaten by Germany in the semi-finals of the World Cup which they co-hosted with Japan.
