Draw could see South Korea through, but boss wants three points

South Korea boss Huh Jung-moo insists his side will be going all out for the win against Nigeria on Tuesday. A draw for South Korea would mean Greece must beat Argentina to progress from Group B, but Huh insists they cannot afford to rely on other results to see them through. "We will prepare thoroughly as our third match against Nigeria will be the final showdown in the group stage," said Huh. "We won't go out on the field aiming for a tie," added Huh. "It will be a difficult match but we will play a winning game." The Koreans got off to a great start to their World Cup campaign with a 2-0 win over Greece as they bid to reach the second round for only the second time in their history. After impressing in their opening game, the Koreans were brought back down to earth by a Gonzalo Higuain-inspired Argentine performance in their second game.

Heavy defeat

The heavy 4-1 defeat, coupled with Greece's win over Nigeria, has blown the group wide open, with only Diego Maradona's side in a very strong position. Huh, though, insists his side's confidence has not been affected by the loss in Johannesburg: "Our players aren't disappointed or discouraged from the loss to Argentina," he said. Nigeria will be without the suspended Sani Kaita, who was sent-off against Greece after foolishly kicking defender Vasileios Torosidis. Huh sees Nigeria's temperament as a weakness and has no qualms about exploiting it, admitting that he will encourage his players to provoke the Africans. "As seen in the case of Sani Kaita, who was sent off the field, we need to put pressure on the Nigerians so that they become agitated and lose their temper," he said. "We cannot allow them to play freely on the field."
