Southend United have confirmed the signing of Watford defender Adam Thompson on loan until January 4.
The 20-year-old will arrive in time for the Shrimpers' League Two clash against Hartlepool this weekend. The Northern Ireland international made his debut for the Hornets in August 2010 and has gone on to make 16 appearances for the club.
