New Wigan manager Owen Coyle has stated his desire to do all he can to keep Shaun Maloney at the DW Stadium.
"The length of time I have had to wait was based on the fact that it was more important I took the right job and not the next job that came up. "You aspire to the highest level and I believe Wigan Athletic is the right fit for me."
