York defender David McGurk has not been ruled out of the home game with Aldershot despite being stretchered off at Cheltenham.
McGurk, making his 30th appearance for the Minstermen, sustained a neck injury during the build-up to Cheltenham's goal and after being carried off the field in the 71st minute left Whadden Road wearing a neck brace. But manager Gary Mills expects the 30-year-old centre-half to recover in time to face the Shots at home on Saturday. "He got spasms from his neck right down his back and was in a neck brace after he came off, but we think he will be okay for next week," Mills said after match. Meanwhile, on-loan striker Alex Rodman was ruled out of Saturday's stalemate after sustaining a hamstring injury in pre-match training. Rodman will miss out at the weekend anyway as he is ineligible to face his parent club.
