Preston have been strengthened their squad after the signings of Chris Beardsley and Joel Byrom were ratified by the Football League.
The duo, who played under North End boss Graham Westley at his former club Stevenage, have been with the Lilywhites since the start of pre-season. Yet Preston have been waiting for ratification due to the new Fair Play rules which means the club can only spend 65% of its turnover on player wages. The confirmation has now come through, meaning the duo will be available for Monday evening's Capital One Cup clash with Huddersfield.
