Bologna have confirmed the signing of Sevilla midfielder Tiberio Guarente on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Club also insistent of Ramirez future

Bologna have confirmed the signing of Sevilla midfielder Tiberio Guarente on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal. The 27-year-old began his career with Verona in 2004 before signing for Atalanta three years later. Following their relegation in 2010 he made the move to Spain, penning a five-year deal with Sevilla. However, he struggled for first-team opportunities at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez, suffering from a number of injuries. He returns to Italy after making just 13 appearances in two years with Los Rojiblancos. Meanwhile, Bologna have also insisted that Gaston Ramirez will only move abroad if he leaves the club this summer.

Just talk

The 21-year-old Uruguay international has been linked with a number of Serie A sides in recent weeks including Fiorentina and champions Juventus. Bologna president Albano Guaraldi confirmed that the former Penarol stopper may leave the club, but insists it will not be to an Italian rival. "I've read about Fiorentina and Juventus but that is just talk," he told TMW. "They are false and that is something which does not exist. "We will only consider offers from clubs who value the player as highly as we do. "As I stands today, if he leaves then it will be to go abroad."
