League One new boys Crawley have signed defender Mat Sadler from Walsall as they start reshaping their squad for next season.
The 27-year-old has become Town boss Sean O'Driscoll's second signing for the club following the arrival of goalkeeper Paul Jones a fortnight ago. Saddlers manager Dean Smith was hoping to keep Sadler, but he told the club's official website: "In the end, Crawley's offer was simply too good for him to turn down. "I really enjoyed working with him over the past year or so and wish him well, with two notable exceptions, next season. "He will be sorely missed but we move on and look towards our other targets."
