Blackburn man relieved to get chance against Man City
Marcus Olsson is pleased to have made his Blackburn debut at Manchester City - and has admitted he didn't think it would come so soon.
The 23-year-old winger signed from Swedish club Halmstad on a two-and-a-half-year deal in the January transfer window.
And Olsson, the twin brother of Rovers defender Martin Olsson, is satisfied to be up and running at his new club straight away.
"I was aiming to get my debut before the end of the season at best," Olsson told
Fotbolldirekt. "But on Friday, I got to know that I was in contention for the match against City.
Satisfied
"It felt okay during the match, but you expect to get substituted when you are the least experienced.
"It's too bad we lost, but I have got to be satisfied with my own display."
The Sweden international is relieved to now have some stability in his career after being linked with numerous clubs in the transfer window.
He added: "It feels great. I know now where I will be the next few years and that they will give me the chance."
