Ben Youssef coup pleases Slade

Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade was delighted to add young Tunisian defender Syam Ben Youssef to his squad.

Ben Yousseff, 22, agreed a contract at Brisbane Road until the end of the season to become Slade's second new signing this week after he snapped up Derby defender Dean Leacock. The Marseille-born centre-half played for Tunis club Esperance last season, winning the domestic title and the African Champions League, and Slade expects him to provide competition for places at the back. "It's pleasing to sign Syam until the end of the season," said Slade. "He's a young defender with potential and will provide extra depth to the squad."
