Real Valladolid have warned Rangers it will take a 'solid offer' to prise striker Javi Guerra away from the club in the transfer window.

Reports claim Rangers target Guerra is valued at £2million

Real Valladolid have warned Rangers it will take a 'solid offer' to prise striker Javi Guerra away from the club during the January transfer window. Rangers boss Ally McCoist has confirmed his interest in Guerra, who boasts an impressive strike rate for second division side Valladolid. Reports have claimed the 29-year-old would cost in the region of £2million and Valladolid's technical secretary Alberto Marcos is waiting for offers. "Javi is on everyone's lips but we won't consider just any type of income," Marcos is quoted in the Daily Record.

Quality

"Every team needs a striker and presumably Javi is in a good place for his quality and goals. They must come with a solid offer and tell us, 'This is what you get'. "The future of Real Valladolid comes first and, for us, Javi is very important. "There is no stipulated figure but the number must be high enough for everyone. We would need cash to fill the gap caused by his departure." Guerra, meanwhile, has suggested he would be open to leaving Valladolid before the close of the transfer window. He said: "I hope I can score 10 more goals before the end of the transfer window and attract some interest. A move would sound good to me."
