Former Chelsea player set for contract talks
Stuttgart defender Khalid Boulahrouz hopes to agree a new contract at Mercedes-Benz-Arena.
The former Chelsea player's current deal expires at the end of the season having joined the Bundesliga club in 2008.
But Boulahrouz has reclaimed a first-team role under the current regime of boss Bruno Labbadia and general manager Fredi Bobic and he hopes to extend his stay.
The 29-year-old told
Sport-BILD weekly: "We are to line up talks and I imagine staying on at this club.
"This is a great option for me. I am enjoying life at this club.
"Looking at the way things have gone under Fredi Bobic and Bruno Labbadia, I am able to say that there have been massive changes.
"The team works well with the manager and this is not on a temporary basis."
Bobic revealed last week that Stuttgart also want to extend the contract of in-form Austria international Martin Harnik.
