Marseille defender suffers broken toe
Marseille have been dealt an untimely blow by the news that Rod Fanni is to be sidelined for four weeks with a foot injury.
The defender suffered a broken toe during Tuesday's UEFA Champions League clash with Arsenal.
He was able to complete the full 90 minutes at Emirates Stadium, but complained of having a sore toe at the end of a 0-0 draw.
He was sent for medical tests and scans have revealed that he has suffered a fracture.
Fanni is now set to sit out a number of important fixtures, handing coach Didier Deschamps an unwelcome selection dilemma.
It is expected that the France international will miss a number of domestic games, including a crunch clash with Paris St Germain on 26th November.
The 29-year-old will also sit out crucial European dates with Olympiakos and Borussia Dortmund.
