Young Chelsea striker signs short-term loan deal

Doncaster Rovers have signed forward Milan Lalkovic from Chelsea on a one-month loan deal. The Championship club made the announcement on Thursday and added that the move is "subject to clearance". "Rovers can announce the arrival of Chelsea forward Milan Lalkovic subject to clearance," read a statement on Rovers' official website. "The 18 year old Slovakian joins on an initial one-month loan deal having scored the winner for the Blues Reserves on Monday night in a 3-2 win over Sunderland at Stamford Bridge." Chelsea too confirmed the short-term deal on their official website and in a statement said: "Reserve team winger Milan Lalkovic will today join Doncaster Rovers on a one-month loan deal." Lalkovic played for the Chelsea reserves last season and scored six goals in 17 appearances. He joined the London side as an Under 14 when his family moved to England from Slovakia. Doncaster have made a disappointing start to the new season and are currently at the foot of the Championship table, having failed to pick up any point in their opening three games. Sean O'Driscoll's side are away at Derby County this Saturday.
