Goalkeeper believes the only way is up after signing extension
Kaiserslautern's first-choice goalkeeper, Tobias Sippel, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract extension.
The former Germany Under 21 international's previous deal was set to expire at the end of the season and his club were wary of the prospect of a Bosman transfer.
But Sippel, 22, has now committed his future to last season's 2.Bundesliga champions, who sit mid-table in the top flight after returning from the winter break with a 1-1 draw against Cologne, and he believes that the only way is up.
He told his club's
official website: "I am very happy to continue playing for Kaiserslautern.
"Not only because this is home for me and I enjoy it here, but also because I feel there is something big in the making with this club."
