American winger signs up with Hannover

Bundesliga outfit Hannover have completed their capture of USA international winger DaMarcus Beasley. The 28-year-old forward, who arrives as a free agent following his release by Rangers at the end of last season, has penned a two-year contract. Beasley is now set to link-up with international colleague Steve Cherundolo, who is club captain at the AWD Arena. Hannover general manager Jorg Schmadtke is delighted to have wrapped up the deal and feels Beasley will give the club 'another good option in our squad, which is important for a long season'. Coach Mirko Slomka is also pleased to have further reinforced his squad before the close of the transfer window. He said: "DaMarcus will give us a further push in the Bundesliga with his international experience." Hannover only narrowly avoided the drop last season, but have opened the 2010/11 campaign with back-to-back victories.
