Eredivisie outfit impressed by Dane, but restricted by finances
Roda JC Kerkrade have been unable to sign trialist Sebastian Svard due to financial constraints.
The midfielder, 26, has been on trial with the Eredivisie strugglers for the past week after being granted permission by parent club Borussia Monchengladbach.
The former Denmark Under 21 international has failed to earn a regular place in Monchengladbach's team and has been attempting to catch the eye of Roda boss Harm van Veldhoven.
Roda have been impressed by Svard, but technical director Martin van Geel has revealed that it is not possible to agree a deal due to monetary issues.
Van Geel told
De Limburger: "We are convinced that he would be a great player for Roda.
"(However) we can do nothing, but definitely keep in touch with him."
