Italian coach Roberto Donadoni has handed Pasquale Foggia his first international call-up.
The Cagliari midfielder has made an impressive start to the Serie A season and has been rewarded with a place in Donadoni's squad for the forthcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers against France and Ukraine.
Donadoni has also recalled Roma veteran Christian Panucci due to Marco Materazzi's absence.
Fiorentina's Alessandro Gamberini has also been brought back into the gold and he will compete with Panucci and Andrea Barzagli to partner Fabio Cannvaro in central defence.
