Lincoln v Luton preview

Lincoln boss Peter Jackson goes into their League Two clash against Luton short on numbers in attack.

Imps welcome Hatters to Sincil Bank

Lincoln manager Peter Jackson goes into their League Two clash against Luton Town short on numbers in attack. Anthony Elding has returned to Crewe after his loan spell expired and Romanian striker Adrian Patulea is out for the rest of the season with a torn hamstring. Jackson is likely to call on the services of veteran Geoff Horsfield to plug the gap, while youngsters Nathan Adams and Andrew Hutchinson have been called up from the youth team. Centre-back Danny Hone played 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek after three months out with an ankle injury and he is set to be included in the squad. Defender Paul Green has also recovered from a hip problem that caused him to miss the midweek draw with Chesterfield and is set to return. Lincoln are nine points adrift of the play-off places going into their final five games and need a win against the Hatters to keep their hopes of reaching the top seven alive.

Luton team news

Luton boss Mick Harford has the luxury of a full squad to choose from for their must-win trip to Lincoln. The Hatters will take the field for the first time since their Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final victory over Scunthorpe last week and Harford can welcome back several cup-tied players. Kevin Gallen, Ian Henderson, David Livermore and Mark Bower were all ineligible for the Wembley outing last week, but could come into contention at Sincil Bank. Skipper Kevin Nicholls continues to be available as he awaits the result of his appeal on a five-match ban for inciting against Bradford. The Hatters are in the last-chance saloon as far as survival goes, as they remain 12 points adrift of 22nd-placed Grimsby knowing that they realistically have to win all of their remaining six games to have any chance of dropping out of the Football League.
