Goals from Matthew Spring, George Porter and Jimmy Smith eased Leyton Orient past 10-man Bromley 3-0 in the FA Cup first round.
The Blue Square Bet South side who finished the FA Cup first-round tie with their numbers reduced after Aaron Rhule was dismissed at Brisbane Road. Spring opened the scoring after just seven minutes when he combined with David Mooney for a delightful one-two before sending an unstoppable 25-yard drive past keeper Tommy Forecast into the bottom left-hand corner of the net. Orient lost influential midfielder Dean Cox to injury after 34 minutes but they took a grip on affairs in the 57th minutes when Leon McSweeney sent George Porter racing down the right and the teenage winger sprinted 60 yards before chipping the ball over Forecast. Four minutes later, Porter clashed with Rhule who was red-carded, while the O's man was booked. The home side put the issue beyond doubt when substitute Moses Odubajo drilled a shot against the upright, allowing Smith to seize on the rebound and steer home.
