Hereford secured a vital point against in-form Walsall following a goalless draw at Edgar Street.
The Saddlers had Paul Boertien to thank for a share of the spoils when he cleared off the line from Bruno N'Gotty midway through the second half.
Both sides failed to create chances in the first period when defences held the initiative.
It was not until five minutes before the break when a chance fell to Walsall's Michael Ricketts but the striker fired wide of the Hereford post.
After the break, a header from Hereford's Toumani Diagouraga was blocked by Anthony Gerrard as Hereford pushed forward.
Back at the other end, Dwayne Mattis also headed wide from six yards with only Hereford keeper Darren Randolph to beat. Hereford continued to press but they were denied when Boertien cleaned N'Gotty's shot off the line after goalkeeper Clayton Ince had failed to cut out a cross from Kris Taylor.
