Railwaymen run riot
Accrington goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin saw red as rampant Crewe extended the visitor's winless run to nine games with a 5-1 triumph.
Calvin Zola slotted in Clayton Donaldson's knock-down to give the Railwaymen the perfect start after just five minutes.
The game then burst into life in after the break. Zola had a goal disallowed before Donaldson raced onto a long ball and clipped home in the 62nd minute.
Stanley pulled one back sixty seconds later when John Brayford shinned Chris Turner's cross into his own net. Two minutes later Dunbavin was sent off after bringing down Donaldson in the box.
Substitute keeper Dean Bouzanis kept out Ashley Westwood's initial spot-kick but could do nothing to stop the full-back rifling home the rebound.
Donaldson laid on a simple 81st-minute finish for Joel Grant before another good move involving the two forwards allowed Zola to rifle home his second in injury-time.
