Defensive mix-up for Accy opener
Robert Grant bagged a late brace to snatch a 2-0 victory for Accrington and hand Stanley their first away points of the season at Bury.
A dismal affair looked set for a goalless draw until Grant pounced on two defensive errors in the last seven minutes.
The two sides seldom looked like scoring until Grant's late double, with fit-again Bury striker Andy Bishop going closest.
Brian Barry-Murphy's corner was half cleared on the stroke of half-time and Bishop's shot was cleared off the line by Phil Edwards.
With minutes to spare, Bury, who are yet to score at home all season, had a defensive nightmare in a matter of minutes as Grant pounced after a Shakers mix-up between goalkeeper Wayne Brown and defender Ben Futcher to break the deadlock.
And fellow centre-half Efe Sodje was then caught in possession by Michael Symes, who squared for Grant to sidefoot home.
The win is much-needed for cash-strapped Stanley who have just eight weeks to come up with £308,000 for the Inland Revenue or face going into administration.
