James Hanson scored the decisive goal as Bradford made sure of their place in the play-offs with a 1-0 home win over Burton.
The only goal of a tense, scrappy match came a minute before half time after the visitors' defence failed to deal with a long through ball from Ricky Ravenhill. Leading scorer Nahki Wells chased the ball and managed to get in a shot which goalkeeper Dean Lyness could not hold and, when Marcus Holness failed to clear, Hanson managed to loop the ball into the net. Burton, who began the match in fourth place, were reduced 10 men in first half stoppage time when skipper Lee Bell was sent off for a foul on Bradford substitute, winger Zavon Hines. They rarely threatened a strong City defence in the second half and the hosts ought to have scored a second goal when Hines shot wide of the far post from the edge of the six yard box.
