      Yakubu doubtful for inconsistent Bees

Wrexham will be looking to boost their survival hopes with victory over an inconsistent Barnet side. Having scored eight goals in two games, Barnet were shocked 3-0 by lowly Macclesfield on Easter Monday and now captain Ismail Yakubu is rated only 50-50 to return from a hip injury. Striker Cliff Akurang and goalkeeper Rob Beckwith will also be sidelined for two more weeks with hamstring injuries. The absence of Akurang, who had scored five goals in five games, has meant a chance for Anthony Thomas to resume his early-season pairing with 11-goal Adam Birchall. Winger Jason Puncheon is pushing for a starting berth after coming on as a half-time substitute in the 3-0 defeat at Macclesfield on Monday.

      Sonner could miss out

Experienced Wrexham midfielder Danny Sonner is an injury doubt for the trip to Underhill. The 36-year-old is being dogged by an Achilles problem and, despite featuring in the Easter double-header against Brentford and Dagenham, is again struggling with his match fitness. Striker Drewe Broughton has formally extended his loan stay at the Racecourse Ground for virtually the remainder of the season and should lead the line in attack, while Rob Duffy (knee), Steve Evans (knee) and Danny Williams (back) remain sidelined. Williams did feature for the reserves in midweek but is not yet fit to make a return to first-team action, while boss Brian Little could opt to recall Jeff Whitley against the Bees. Whitley has recently overcome a knee injury and has been an unused substitute in recent weeks, but his experience could prove crucial at Underhill.
