Hatters held by Accies

Luton were left to rue their misfortune as they were held to a 0-0 draw at Accrington.

Craddock and Mullin both strike woodwork at either end

Luton were left to rue their misfortune as they were held to a 0-0 draw at Accrington. In the first half Hatters' wideman Ian Henderson had onrushing keeper Kenny Arthur beaten with a chip but defender Kieran Charnock raced back to clear the ball just before it crossed the line. After the break, Luton striker Sam Parkin tried a 35 yard punt with Arthur out of his goal and this time Phil Edwards was back to hook the ball clear. Then Tom Craddock raced free for the Hatters after 70 minutes and fired goalwards from a tight angle only to see his shot strike the inside of the far post and bounce out to safety. But it wasn't all one-way traffic with Stanley striker Paul Mullin also heading against the woodwork from a John Miles free kick. Mullin headed over another good chance to add to Stanley's woes - the League Two strugglers have now failed to score in three matches and are, like Luton, in a relegation fight.
