Jeff Goulding scored the only goal within seconds of coming on to make it five straight victories for Cheltenham as they won 1-0 at Accrington.

Friday night's success at the Crown Ground pushed the Robins into the automatic promotion spots in League Two. The striker replaced James Spencer - who had been booked and was in danger of picking up another one - after 44 minutes. Moments later he collected Luke Garbutt's ball forward 30 yards out and looped the ball over the stranded Ian Dunbavin. It was the Robins' first shot on target after Stanley had created the better chances. Loan striker Will Hatfield had a fierce shot saved by goalkeeper Jack Butland and James Spray was denied from close range. After the break, Alan Bennett had a shot cleared off the line for the visitors and Russell Penn could only find the side-netting in a breakaway as Cheltenham looked to get a two-goal cushion. Stanley threw everything at Cheltenham in the last 10 minutes but the visitors held on for an important win.
